This is a moderate walk of around six km suited for all the family or a couple of philosophers if done late in the afternoon before the sunset. It starts from the kiosk at the entrance of the village and finishes at the Xenonas next to the church. We highly recommend that you do it at dawn to enjoy the sunrise, see the sun to light up the high peaks of Olympus and listen to the birds singing their hearts out for you. Continue on the road towards Skotina avoid the tarmac on your left and continue facing Olympus. Turn left on the turf path just before the first turn of the road to Skotina. Follow the path uphill but not before you enjoy the first light flirting with the peaks of the mountain. Take as many photographs as you can and do not forget to publish them. Entering the path you will be surrounded by the forest almost immediately. Walk slowly and if possible quietly for not scaring the birds. Their song will follow you all the way to the main road to Kallipeuki. On reaching the road turn left and stop in a few hundred meters to replenish yourself with water from the spring exactly at the sign for Ano Skotina. Follow the signs downhill toward the village and follow the path we show you until you reach the Xenonas. Beware of the black squirels that tend to through eaten pine cones on the passers by. There you can have a well deserved breakfast in the balcony, or dinner if late in the afternoon. If you have collected mushrooms give them to the cook to prepare them for starter and if you have collected chestnuts keep for later in the evening to grill them at the fireplace. Allow aproximately 120 to 150 minutes for this one. Enjoy
