Located in the upper reaches of the Borgarfjörður region, Strútur is a smallish, cone shaped mountain which affords wonderful views of the ice capped Eiríksjökull and the NW part of the Kaldidalur area. Needless to say, the weather was foul when we did this, didn't see anything. Still, an easy stroll, partly along a road which runs to the top.
