Routebeschrijving

An easy walk starting at the car park near Whitby Abbey. First the a spectacular cliff top path to the south of Whitby with great views (including a cliff face with nesting Kittiwakes in the breeding season). Then looping back down a nice country lane back into Whitby. A short uphill road section in Whitby to cross the first Bridge then a slightly residential section until you come down into the old part of the town on the River Esk. Then a small bridge crossing back to the Abbey (south) side of the town. Then up a staircase of around 200 steps back to the Abbey. You should visit the brewery next to the Abbey for a local pint!
