Routebeschrijving
The Mazraat El Dahr loop is scenic trail that is part walking through forests of pine, olive trees, and oak; and part is walking on the side of a rocky cliff overseeing the Bisri valley. This trail included a visit to the Mazraat El Dahr cross. The trail is fairly moderate that can be enjoyed by beginners or families that would like to be in nature. The trail is well marked with little chance of anyone veering off or getting lost.
This was a new trail for the B2H group and was more than happy to be their guide for a day. To our surprise there was a restaurant right in the middle of the trail which gave hikers the opportunity to rest and grab a manoushi (thyme pie) and a beer for some. The weather was a first day summer like with acceptable temperature.

To Cross
You could actually take a dirt road 50 meters before this to the cross. But we went commando and walked through rough terrain to get there.

Moeilijk
Very nice hike with beautiful scenery. However there are 2 sections which can be made only by seasoned hikers. The section that starts maybe 1km after the nice restaurant is a bit dangerous as it seems to be damaged by falling rocks + one point is really danderous to cross. The section at the end is also a bit challenging as the trail is not safe for normal hikers.
For seasoned hikers it is ok and fun to hike.
