Parking at le Flon, just up from Miex (be there early!). Take the yellow-marked trail to Taney (one that says 50 mins, the other one that says 1h 20 mins makes you take the route - not fun). In Taney take the yellow trail to Grammont. This trail will take you to Col des Crosses (will switch to white-red-white marks at the bergerie les Crosses). Note the fork to Alamont a bit up from les Crosses but keep going in the direction of Grammont. Leave the bergerie En Voyis on your left and continue until you arrive at the cliff. From there turn right and follow the Grammont ridge to the summit. Descent by the same route, at the fork turn left in the direction of Alamont. From the summit descend traversing SW face of Alamont. This descent is not marked but the trail is well visible and you'll have no trouble finding the way. After steep-ish descent you'll get to a flat ground and you'll find a path that will soon join the yellow trail forming the tour du Lac de Taney. Continue to the village and descend to le Flon.
Conditions: sunny, the trails either muddy or covered with snow, ice forming in shadows. Final ascent to le Grammont covered with 5-10 cm of fresh snow, no ice, no need for crampons as there is little risk of a dangerous fall.
Difficulty: T2 for the most part, T3 ascent to Grammont and descent from Alamont.
